Uniform
We wear different uniforms in the Air
Training Corps depending on the activity we are doing. Our Working Blues and Wedgwood Blues are typically loaned to a cadet free-of-charge from the RAF, whereas we normally expect a cadet to purchase their own Combats.
No 2C
Service Working Dress
No 2c Working Dress, also known as Working Blues, is the
uniform which Air Cadets normally wear.
Working Blues consists of a Beret, Jumper (during cold weather), Brassard (and
rank slides/lanyard where appropriate) Working Blues shirt, Belt,
Trousers/skirt (with tights) and Parade shoes.
Also known as Wedgwood Blues, No. 2A is the Air Training Corps formal uniform which is worn for ceremonial events and parades.
Wedgwood Blues consists of a Beret, Brassard (and rank slides/lanyard where appropriate), Long-sleeved Wedgwood shirt, Black tie, Belt, Trousers/skirt (with tights) and Parade shoes.
No. 3 Service Dress
No. 3 Service Dress, also known as Combats, or Greens, is
worn in the Air Training Corps for certain activities such as navigation,
shooting, or fieldcraft.
Combats come in two styles, Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) and Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP). DPM is being phased out of the cadet forces and it is not recommended for new cadets.
Combats consist of a Beret, Smock, Shirt, T-shirt, Trousers and Boots.

There are many places both on the high street and online that you can purchase parade shoes and combat boots.
Your local military surplus store may well stock everything you want for a very reasonable price; alternatively we recommend the following online companies:
