1011 (Amesbury) Squadron
1011 Squadron traces its history back to the original formation of the Air Training Corps in February 1941 with the squadron initially being No# 1011 (Salisbury District) Squadron and running a detached flight in Amesbury.
Continuing to grow, in March 1941 a flight was being setup in Warminster as part of No. 1011 Squadron with 15 boys already waiting to start, and a flight already established in Fordingbridge.
By July 1942 No. 1011 Squadron was known as No. 1011 (Amesbury) Flight.
By May 1943 Amesbury was being recognised as a Squadron in its own right.
In the early 70's, Amesbury was operating as a Detached Flight of 1010 (Salisbury) Squadron.
The Flight grew in numbers and held the inaugural parade of 1011 (Amesbury) Squadron in 1973.
